Good Morning

I'm way behind on my Parker pictures, so here are some sweet ones from our bath time this morning. I'm not sure why Jack was so interested this morning, by he jumped in the bath tub all on his own!

Parker is 4 Months Old!

Parker is four months old today and he has several new tricks up his sleeve in the last couple of weeks. First and foremost, he loves to stand up and talk as loud as possible. He cracks himself up when he squeals loudly and can hear his voice echo on our tile and hardwood floors. Its the sweetest thing to hear him in his crib in the mornings talking and giggling to himself. Always a great sign when your baby wakes up laughing instead of crying!

He is still a great sleeper, sleeping 11-12 hours each night. He's also close to being on a regular nap schedule. He wakes up between 7:30 and 8am and takes a nap from 9 - 10:30am most mornings. Then he also takes a good nap in the afternoons from 3 - 5pm. Bedtime is somewhere between 7:30 and 9pm, depending on where his feedings fall that day.

Parker is still gaining weight and has grown a full inch in the last two weeks, now allowing his feet to touch the ground in his exersaucer and jeep walker. He still a happy spitter and we can now add happy drooler to the list. Along with the chewing he does on his fingers, we've deduced that he is probably starting the teething process.

He also loves to watch TV. Not a great habit, I know, but it is nice to put him in his bouncer with the news on while I start dinner! More pictures to follow this week!

Missing from Blogville

I haven't been as frequent with my posts as I'd like to be the last month and a half. I've got some pretty good excuses though...

In June we went to Napa for a Wichita Falls wedding, a week later we put our house on the market and went out of town three weekends in a row to avoid house showings, then we spent a week in Jackson Hole for vacation and another Wichita Falls wedding, and finally, we bought a new house and moved in last Wednesday.

Parker, Jack, and I have spent this week trying to find a new normal in the new house. Benton has been traveling for work since Monday and we are all ready for him to be home tonight! On weeks like this, our joke is that "I'm a single mother, I'm a single mother" sung to the tune of all the single ladies. I'm ready to have a spouse again and after four days alone, I think I'm ready to go back to working a couple of days next week!

Pedicure

No, not for me unfortunately, but for Parker. His toenails have grown at a glacial pace, so today was my first attempt at cutting his toenails with fingernail clippers. Luckily he cooperated and we were finished in about 30 seconds! Now his fingernails may be another story...
