I have three more days to get ready for Parker's birthday party on Saturday while Benton is enjoying the lush gardens at Augusta for The Masters. I'm not resentful that Benton is checking off a bucket list item without me - I've schedule some girl time in soon to catch up. I bought 12 pounds of hamburger meat today and I've been to Michael's twice in the last two days. I know he won't have a clue what is going on around him, but he is my child and he does love an audience.
My mom asked me today if I was sad that I had boxed up all of Parker's bottles and baby food paraphernalia. I told her I was proud of us for making it this far and I feel content that I've enjoyed as many moments as I could have in the past year. I feel so blessed to have have Parker in our lives and be able to work part-time. Turning thirty has been the best year of my life. I am so thankful to have Benton as my husband and as Parker's daddy. We make a pretty good trio!
